Foundation Inspection – Independent Inspection and Quality Assurance

HEIZICHT provides independent foundation inspections during the execution of foundation works. We verify that construction activities are carried out in accordance with applicable technical requirements, project specifications, and available design documentation.

Through visual inspections, technical assessments, and careful documentation, we help identify potential deviations at an early stage. This supports effective quality assurance and ensures clear, reliable inspection reports.

Preparation & Technical Inspection:

Preparation & Technical Inspection:

  • Foundation design and current drawings
  • Cone penetration test (CPT) data and soil profile
  • Pile type, pile configuration and relevant calculations
  • Structural design assumptions
  • Construction method and work sequence
  • Project-specific risks and environmental factors
  • Relevant materials, certificates and project documentation
  • Changes and deviations from the design
  • Coordination with the structural engineer, contractor and other involved parties
  • Verification of relevant execution requirements prior to commencement

On-Site Supervision

During pile driving, we inspect and record, among other things:

  • Pile position, dimensions and pile numbering
  • Correct pile type and pile length
  • Verticality and any deviations
  • Driving records and final driving criteria
  • Penetration behaviour during pile driving
  • Pile damage and any irregularities
  • Connections between composite pile sections
  • Final depth and achieved pile toe level
  • Relevant installation data for each pile
  • Deviations from the design and CPT data
  • Interruptions and irregularities during the pile-driving process
  • Documentation of inspection and installation data

Inspection of Bored and Screw Pile Installation

For bored and screw piles, we inspect and record, among other things:

  • Pile position, pile numbering and drilling alignment
  • Drilling depth and achieved pile toe level
  • Drilling and installation parameters
  • Grout or concrete consumption per pile
  • Injection pressure and continuity during installation
  • Interruptions and irregularities during the drilling process
  • Installation of reinforcement, where applicable
  • Deviations from the design and CPT data
  • Relevant installation data for each pile
  • Verification of drilling records and installation documentation
  • Identification of irregularities during installation
  • Documentation of inspection and installation data

All relevant findings and deviations are documented to provide a clear and traceable record of the foundation works.
